Skin Tag Remedies

Skin tag is a skin condition characterized by small tags of the skin that resemble a small skin hanging. These tags are soft and benign also cause no symptoms. This skin condition comprises of nerve cells, fibers and ducts, covering of the epidermis and fat cells. This skin condition is most commonly seen where skin rubs against skin like in the eyelids, armpits, breasts, the groin, the neck and upper chest.

There are several causes of skin tags like being overweight and heredity. Skin tags are usually passed down from one generation to the next. Diabetic people are also susceptible to skin tags. Pregnant women can also get skin tags.

There are several skin tag remedies that can be used to get rid of this skin condition. The most popular skin tag remedies are home based as getting rid of skin tags is considered a cosmetic treatment and will cost many hundred dollars that many people cannot afford. Disinfected nail clippers can be used to cut these tags off. You simply apply rubbing alcohol; to the tag and clipper and clip the tag off. To stop the bleeding, please apply some peroxide as you clip.

Another of the skin tag remedies is baking soda and castor oil. These two are mixed together to create the remedy. Just mix the two until you create a paste. You can mix the two in the ratio 1:1. This paste is then applied to the tags at least thrice a day until the time the tags dry u and fall off by themselves.

Duct tape is another of the skin tag remedies. You simply cut off a piece of duct tape and cover the tag with the tape. After sometime, the tape will start loosening and this can be an indication that the tag is starting to fall off.

Another of the skin tag remedies is vitamin E which can be put on a band aid applied on the skin. When the band aid loosens up, you can remove it to see if the tag has begun to fall off. If that is not the case, please repeat the procedure.

It will require some patience from you as home skin tag remedies do not work as fast as most people expect but one thing is for sure, they work effectively and are inexpensive. Before you settle on any of the skin tag remedies, please consult with your physician.
