Skin tags or acrochordons, are brown or black pieces of protruding skin found under the armpits, neck, groin and eyelids.  Women with large breasts are also prone to getting it. It is believed that this occurs when the skin rubs against itself. Men get skin tags on the genitals too. This skin condition is found in persons over the age of 40 and above. Not ignoring the fact that it has been found in younger persons as well. Skin tags are harmless and painless. They can be removed using several methods or home remedy solutions.

Even though skin tags seem permanent, as they are attached to your skin, it can be removed. For some, the removal process might be out of the reach of their pockets. And, if you believe in alternative medicines, then you may not have to look further than your cupboard. Apple cider vinegar has a high volume of acid and thus, making it effective for treating skin tags. It is a natural bacteria fighting agent that contains vital minerals and other essential vitamins that the body needs to remain healthy. If perhaps, you would like to make your own apple cider vinegar, you can do this by crushing the apples. This is then stored in wooden barrels and left for an extended period. This will cause the apples to ferment and the liquid, now vinegar, can be used. You may now store this for your next treatment.

Using apple cider vinegar as treatment for skin tags requires that you dab the vinegar on the affected areas three times per day until it falls off; within two or three weeks.  It is important to note that the apple cider vinegar should not be used near the eyelids. A visit to the ophthalmologist may not be a bad idea as this is an extremely sensitive area.

As we become older our skin is prone to more of these types of skin condition. Keep in mind also, that any skin condition can lend itself to becoming a health risk. Although skin tags are noncancerous, if something about yours seems off to you, it probably is. Have it checked out.
